Inclusion, Equity and Diversity are the first principles in everything we do, and empowerment, active participation and wellbeing are at the heart of our charity's work in improving people's lives.
Accessibility is where barriers are removed to ensure participation. Inclusion means disabled and disadvantaged people are not separated in activities as 'target groups', but benefit from equal and active participation in society alongside everyone else. It is therefore essential that accessibility and inclusion are used together.
Ikkaido’s team of disabled and disadvantaged staff use inclusive and accessible formal, informal and non-formal education to remove the barriers to employment and entrepreneurship so that everyone can participate, achieve and enjoy the feelings that achievement brings.
